Hearing about Terez' death I feel very sad. I knew her since the eighties and admired her intellect as well as her friendliness. In the last decade her excellent reports on Hungarian labour market developments have been of special interest for me in context of socio-economic transformation. Only two months ago we had lunch together in the restaurant opposite to the old Labour Research Institute. My workplace was at the Institut für Sozialforschung in Frankfurt/Main, but now I am a pensioner. Every year I spend two or three weeks in Budapest to meet old friends and colleagues. I feel sad that I can't meet Terez anymore.
