Are you a scholar dedicated to the teaching or preservation of a particular language?
Then CAPL may provide you with the software to preserve and share visual aspects of the language and culture!
Our collaboration rules are simple. Scholars in all fields are invited to propose the creation of a new CAPL database. Send the following information to mshaughnessy@washjeff.edu

FAQs
What are your immediate needs?
We currently need editors for all endangered languages and are looking for Native American languages in particular. We would welcome images and editors from less commonly taught languages.
Additionally, we need editors for our images in Japanese, Arabic, Portuguese (Brazil & Portugal), ESL (United Kingdom), and Spanish (Andean).
What is CAPL exactly?
The CAPL project is dedicated to providing high quality, authentic visual depictions to the educational community free of charge.
What can CAPL provide me?
If a project is accepted, we provide the software and guidelines in order to create a new database of images for a specific language or culture. All work is done remotely by the editors. Occasionally, when research funding is available, we provide some support to editors. (Donate today and help the project grow!)
What will this mean for my research / photos / editing?
Essentially, you retain all rights to your photos. You agree to share your edited images on the web according to our usage license, which is 100% non-commercial.
Will this get me tenure?
Who knows? Give it a try.
