George Kollitides

George K. Kollitides II is a U.S. business executive in private equity, leveraged finance and business operations, with a significant focus on government and business services, light industrial and consumer industries. He has served as the chairman, CEO and president or lead director of public, private and non-profit companies and organizations, including as a member or chair of compensation and audit committees.

Education[edit]

Kollitides received an MBA in Finance and Management of Organizations from Columbia Business School in 1998 and a BA in Economics with a minor in Government and Law from Lafayette College in 1991.

Professional career[edit]

Kollitides started his career at General Electric, where he worked in the Corporate Finance, Restructuring and Equity groups. He became a principal at Catterton Partners, a global consumer and retail-focused private equity fund, then co-founded TenX Capital Management, a private equity firm. After TenX, he became a managing director at Cerberus Capital Management LP, a global institution investment management firm.

He then built and served as chairman and CEO of the Remington Outdoor Company – a private equity-owned holding company composed of sporting and outdoor manufacturers.

Kollitides is currently a managing director and co-head of A&M Capital Opportunities, a middle-market private equity firm, where he sits on the Investment and Conflicts committees. He also sits on the boards of adMarketplace, a search advertiser, Precision Gear, Inc., a supplier to the U.S. military and various military aviation programs, Champion ONE, LLC and Dutchland Plastics, LLC.

Kollitides was also a volunteer fireman for 10 years.

Clubs and associations[edit]

Kollitides sits on the Good Sports New York Advisory Board, is a Trustee of the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation, and is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Kollitides serves on the National Rifle Association (NRA) Hunting and Wildlife Conservation Committee and the NRA Publications Policy Committee. He is also a director of the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association and is one of 100 regular members of the Boone and Crockett Club, a conservation organization founded by Teddy Roosevelt.

Kollitides has served on the Lafayette College Trustees’ Financial Policy Committee, as the vice chairman of the Orthopedic Foundation for Active Lifestyles, a non-profit orthopedic organization, where he was honored with the 2010 Philanthropy Leadership Award, the NRA Nominating Committee, the NRA Task Force on Industry Relations, the NRA Foundation, as a director of both the Safari Club International (SCI) New York Tri-State Chapter and Connecticut Chapter, a director of the Mzuri Wildlife Foundation, and as a board member of DOMUS, a residential program for vulnerable Connecticut youth.
